Frustration at it's finest!

It's been awhile since I have blogged about anything. Seems like time just flies by. Well I had a garden, I had planted zucchini, cucumbers, green peppers, onions and tomato plants. All to be wiped out by a severe storm. I don't know if they will recover from that or not I seriously doubt it. We were hit with 80-100 mi winds, hail up to walnut size which hit so fast there were places that it was a foot deep how crazy is that, and then we had downed branches once again our small town looked like a war zone. What got me the most was all this happened in literally an hours worth of time, we also got 3 in of rain in that hour. Sad thing was my plants were doing so good before that happened it just literally made me sick, I had spent so much time working on it. This storm did scare me though, in my life I have seen three tornadoes and thankfully this wasn't a tornado it sure came on and sounded like one, it was so loud that we were literally screaming on top of each other just to hear. It's been awhile since I had heard it get that loud. I was so proud of my boys though they automatically went in search of the flash lights I didn't realize that until all was said and done in fact that didn't hit me until later on that day. I just lit one of my oval candles that I sell, it put off a good amount light and smelled so good. Figures my boys go for flash lights and I go for the candle lol.......

We did have a mess to pick up and still do, we need to get on the roof even because leaves are just plastered on the roof and the house and the cars everyones was decorated so at least we match I guess........We did get all the branches that were down out to the curb in time for the city workers to pick up, they still have quite a bit though. I kinda feel bad for them as they are in the middle of redoing the streets and then this happens. There was also a couple of uprooted trees as well as branches going through windows in town, we were so lucky.

Then we turn around they are putting in new sewer pipes so are whole block gets to park out front, that has been an experience. Considering my neighbor has 5 cars we have 3 and we are literally having fun with this one. I will be so glad when this is done, I am glad they are doing this but it has been one hassle after the other. Mostly though due to the city they just don't have it together at all........

Now we are supposed to get more storms I sure hope they aren't like the last few we have had it's getting on my nerves. We have so much to get done and cant.

We are still remodeling the house we got the porch mostly done, just needs the finishing touches. Still have a bit to do though its time consuming for sure but my husband has been down as well first he had been in pain from the crohn's then he wasn't feeling good at all the following week. I really wish he would go back to the doctor or something but he won't because of the stress at work. Thats a whole other story. I am really enjoying my porch though I love having a big porch more people stop by as well to chat now and then. It's just so neat!
